Hello everyone! I have not posted in awhile, but am now 10 weeks post op
from my adhesion surgery (patient assisted lap & 2nd look) with Dr.
Redwine. I continue to feel better each and every day and am now past
most of the healing pain. I am just amazed at how wonderful life is
without the chronic and nagging pain of adhesions.
I continue with my workout program which consists of now running for
20-30 minutes per day, stretching, and yoga. I was able to start this
program 3 weeks into my recovery. Over the past 2-3 weeks I have been
able to clear over a 1/4 acre of land to build a new garden, 10 mile
bike rides and the ability to play, run and keep up with my two children
ages 8 and 10. I am also able to sit for long periods of time (min. 6-8
hours) at my job as a graphic artist and web page designer. And the
best of all (to those who can relate) is the ability to have normal,
regular bowel movements! It's the simple things in life that can really
make a difference!
I have not taken any pain medications in quite awhile, even though Dr.
Redwine gave me a prescription of Ultram, I have only had to take 2 in
the past 5 weeks and advil a couple times also! And that was only
because I overdid in my enthusiasm for life and activity.
This is a long time coming for me as I feel I have been in prison for
the past 10 years with the pain from severe invasive endo and adhesions.
I was not able to move, let alone work out for 8 of those 10 years. Even
though I still have a long way to go until I look like my former self
before endo & adhesions,
I hope the best for each and everyone of you suffering from the
incapacitating pain of adhesions. I hope all of you too are able to
find a doctor like I have in Dr. Redwine to believe in your pain and
suffering and especially to his commitment to helping me find the relief
and recovery I have.
take care, suzanne livingston
